  • Dornbirn 2015: New behaviour needed

    DornbirnBoth China and the European Union need to adopt new attitudes if long-standing issues in the manmade fibres industry are to be resolved, and a more pro-active approach to sustainable manufacturing in general, is to become the norm.

    Speaking at the opening of the 54th Dornbirn Man-Made Fibre Congress in Austria on Wednesday, Heinz Meierkord, CEO of Advansa and president of the European manmade fibres association CIRFS, spoke of the dangerous over-capacities that have been built up in China – specifically in polyester fibre production.
