Kimberly-Clark has today published its annual sustainability report, which introduces the company’s new 2022 sustainability platform. The report focuses on case studies that highlight social and environmental progress throughout its global operations and supplies update on the progress of its 2015 sustainability goals.
Notable environmental achievements in 2014 include a 6.9% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, which exceeds K-C's ‘Sustainability 2015’ goal of 5%, a 25% reduction in water use and the company reports that at the end of 2014, 88% of its manufacturing waste was diverted from landfills. The company also implemented several waste reduction programmes for the end of the product lifecycle.
