High hopes for EU-Eco-labelled AHP’s

The European Commission has recently talked up the prospects of the market for EU Eco-Labelled nonwovens in Europe after it adopted environmental criteria for absorbent hygiene products (AHPs) at the end of October 2014. The Commission, which estimates that around 90 per cent of AHP products made in Europe are also consumed in the region, believes this: “highlights the advantage of introducing the EU Ecolabel into the AHP market, ” which in 2011, had estimated sales of over €8.6 billion.
