Freudenberg Nonwovens has been involved in the development by its parent company and Swisstom AG, of a system that combines electrical impedance tomography (EIT) with an electrode belt, for the real-time monitoring of the human lungs.
The SensorBelt is positioned around the patient’s chest and provides what has not previously been possible – a window into the lungs.
