    Every year, around 13 million new passenger cars are registered in the European Union.  If every one of those cars used modern nonwoven materials, EDANA estimated 800,000 tonnes of CO2 could be saved.  

    This is one of the conclusions drawn from a study of the role different types of nonwovens play in day-to-day living and included in the latest in a series of infographics issued by the Brussels-based organisation.
