Net-Shape-Nonwoven (NSN) technology allows short fibres to be precisely processed into three-dimensional structures and as such is suitable for applications in tissue engineering.
It has been developed and patented by the the Institute of Textile Machinery (ITM) at the University of Dresden in Germany.
