New €20 million plant for ATP

ATP adhesive systems has broken ground on its new €20 million production plant in Mihla-Buchenau, Germany. 

The plant is equipped with a state-of-the-art coating line – some 70 metres long – with clean-air manufacturing allowing the production of adhesive tapes with an exceptionally high quality optical appearance. The tapes are widely used in combination with nonwovens for medical and hygiene and automotive products, among others. 

The new production facility will create between 50-60 new jobs and ATP will continue offering training places for job-starters.  Every year the company offers school leavers training places in various departments such as laboratory, engineering, warehouse, logistics and in sales and service.

ATP manufactures a range of single and double-sided adhesive tapes from a wide range of adhesives and backing materials, as well as self-adhesive and non-self-adhesive, thermally-activated adhesive systems for industrial customers. The manufacturing processes employed by ATP comply with the very latest technological and environmental standards with adhesives being developed exclusively in-house.

Founded in 1988, the company currently employs 220 people at their three sites, Wollerau, Switzerland and Wuppertal and Mihla/Buchenau in Germany.

The company is committed to the production of high quality, solvent-free, recyclable products and holds the appropriate certification for its total quality management system according to ISO TS 16949 and DIN EN 9001. ATP only manufactures adhesive tape based on aqueous emulsions and has been accredited with the environmental certification DIN EN ISO 14001 since 2004 and with regular external, independent audits confirming the continuous high quality.
