ITW Dynatec’s Vector Surge technology allows nonwovens converters to make considerable savings in raw materials by enabling them to apply different weights of adhesive on the same substrate, without requiring cost-prohibitive equipment and processes.

Before Surge, manufacturers had to apply the heaviest adhesive volume needed across the entire substrate, even if other areas of the material required much less. As a result, Surge customers realise exceptional adhesive savings, significant waste reduction and increased product performance.

The technology received the INDEX 14 Innovation Award in the Machinery category at the show in Geneva. Pictured receiving it from EDANA’s technical and education director Jean-Michel Anspach are Russ Diefenbach, Dynatech’s director of strategic marketing and innovation and Laurie Hume, global segment manager for disposable hygiene products.
