Trützschler Nonwovens and Man-Made Fibers, Trützschler Card Clothing and Voith Paper will jointly present their technologies for efficiently producing high-quality, differentiated nonwovens at INDEX 14.

On show will be the Streamliner, an air-trough dryer with the highest drying performance and the BWT 203-30  automatic surface winder which is specially designed for spunlacing lines.

The Streamliner is characterised by a high evaporation capacity and the capability to reac production speeds of 400 m/min in hydroentangling lines. It ensures a substantial increase in productivity by lowering energy consumption by up to 30% and its new, spiral design features an optimal air guidance specifically for spunlaced nonwovens with a high residual water content.

The BWT 203-30, formerly made by Bastian is fully automatic horizontal slide winder which is circumferentially driven for energy-efficient, operation and reduced start-up times.

Experts from Voith Paper will be on hand to answer all questions about wet-laid nonwoven plants for flushable wipes and other final applications. Virtually all fibres can be wet-laid on the company’s HydroFormer, provided they are dispersible in water and do not exceed a certain length in relation to diameter. The recovery and preparation of these fibres is also one of Voith Paper’s core competencies.

Trützschler Card Clothing has broadened the product range of surface treated metallic wires and code B types are now available expressly for hygiene applications for the on cylinder, random roller and doffer. The new NovoDoff doffer wire with 450 ppsi is designed for hydroentangled light weight nonwovens and is most suitable for long-staple fibres, due to its optimised transfer properties.
