Contrary to previously-expressed reservations, a ratio of up to 10% of compostable bioplastics being mixed with conventional plastics in post-consumer recycling streams has zero or negligible impact on the mechanical performance of the recyclates.
This is the key finding of a new meta-study published by European Bioplastics.
