The three finalists have now been selected for the annual Durable Product Award and the Award will be presented at the RISE Conference, which takes place from September 30-October 3, 2013 at the Grand Hyatt in Denver, Colorado, USA.

They are Bonar for its Colback Profloor, Dell Seven amd GMX for ThermalDrain and RIT International for NLITe.

Colback Profloor is a nonwoven backing which improves tuftability for carpet producers, in addition to having greater stitch holding performance and providing an improved carpet appearance.

ThermalDrain is a patented synthetic protection board for below grade waterproofing that is an alternative to fibreglass. It is durable, with no skin irritation and also easy to install, while being formaldehyde-free and providing excellent drainage.

The NLITe nanofibre light improvement technology brings nonwovens to the lighting industry. It can be applied to any lighting fixture that creates 20% more light for the same energy. It also provides efficient light diffusion and improved glare resistance for overall better light quality.

Now in its fourth year, INDA’s RISE connects technical innovations in engineered fabrics with practical product applications. It has rapidly developed into the premier conference for technical and marketing executives in the nonwoven/engineered fabrics industry who are charged with finding new applications, new technology and new ideas to help grow their businesses.
