At just 150 grams for a US men’s size 11, the Light Wing shoes developed by Unbelievable Testing Laboratory (UT Lab) are lighter than both Nike Flyknits and Adidas Adizer f50s.
Designer Token Hu has exploited the singular properties of DuPont Tyvek to achieve this low weight, in combination with light-weight foam rubber and Poliyou foam insoles to provide superior ventilation, moisture absorption and anti-oduor properties along, with the necessary cushioning.
As a result of specially-chosen inks and printing processes the shoes can be washed without losing their colour.
The company says Tyvek is a natural choice for shoes because of its light weight, breathability, paper-like printing capabilities and rugged durability.
