Autyl is a new automotive damping product being introduced by Swiss-headquartered Autoneum which can be employed in various vehicle body areas to noticeably increase acoustic comfort.

Damping materials reduce the noise in the interior of the car by weakening or eliminating vibrations that are transferred to its body and cause unpleasant buzzing sounds.

Autyl’s light weight also allows it to contribute to lowering fuel consumption and it is suitable for use on the body shell and after painting, giving manufacturers flexibility in choosing when the product is assembled in the vehicle production process.

As a result of its excellent adhesive properties, Autyly can be applied to flat and shaped, vertical or horizontal body parts, such as the front wall, the body or the wheel wells.

Its multi-layer composition is said to enable it to outperform current environmental expectations and standards and it is already being used by German vehicle manufacturers, with introduction outside Europe is in progress.
