Nox-bellcow Nowoven Chemical (NBC) is to produce 100% Tencel Skin face masks for the Chinese market.
The manufacturer and converter of spunlaced nonwovens announced its new cooperation with Lenzing to introduce a co-branded range to the Chinese market at a press conference in Guangzhou on Thursday.
NBC, based in Zhongshan, Guangdong, is a leading manufacturer of skin care products in China and a key player in the area of facial masks and wipes.
“From our experience we know that only the best is good enough for beauty products in direct contact with the skin,” said NBC vice-president Frankie Fan. “In Asia, the use of facial masks is daily routine and consumers are critical and very demanding in terms of quality. Tencel Skin is the ideal fibre for an optimal facial mask.”
Combining enhanced lotion management and translucency, Tencel Skin also has impeccable environmental credentials, being made from renewable wood fibres via an extremely benign manufacturing process that sets it apart from alternatives.
“We launched Tencel Skin at ANEX in Korea in June 2012 and are very pleased that it will be NBC’s raw material of choice for nonwoven fabrics for face masks,” said Elisabeth Stanger, marketing director at Lenzing Nonwovens.
