pegFollowing Kimberly-Clark’s announcement that it will curtail the production and sale of its Huggies diapers in many European countries, nonwovens supplier Pegas has seen fit to reassure its shareholders.

The Czech-headquartered company says that it does not expect a decline in its own production volumes or sales in 2013, and also emphasises that Kimberly-Clark will continue with production at its plant in Jaromer in the Czech Republic.

While Kimberly-Clark is one of the major customers for Pegas, it supplies nonwovens to a wide portfolio of customers and remains a preferred supplier to many of them.

Pegas adds that its current state of sales negotiations for 2013 indicate that – as in prior years – its production capacity will be fully sold out.
