Yejimiin of Korea has introduced a new generation of pantyliners – the first on the market to feature a nonwoven top sheet based on 100% Tencel.
“Since the top sheet is in direct contact with the skin, we select the raw material extremely carefully,” says the company’s general manager Yong-Uk Cha . “Tencel in nonwovens has turned out to be the ideal choice for Yejimiin since it is characterised by a very smooth surface which increases comfort in use. Its natural moisture management also optimises conditions for sensitive skin. The botanic fibre is also based on wood which makes it naturally absorbent and it combines the purity with continuous quality which is key for sensitive hygiene applications.”
Natural benefits are a priority for Yejimiin which has also integrated herbs into its products to relieve pain during menstruation.
“Yejimiin has succeeded in launching an innovative pantyliner which offers natural confidence and comfort,” said Wolfgang Plasser, general manager of Lenzing’s Nonwovens business unit. “We at Lenzing are proud to be part of this success story.”
