schoellSwiss-headquartered textiles specialist Schoeller Textil AG is the latest company to recognise the growing potential of the incontinence market – in which nonwovens already play a critical role – with the formation of a new subsidiary, Schoeller Medical.

Holistic health is a megatrend, the company says, to which it is responding with new developments including the Swiss Technology
Award-winning iLoad fabric, as well as a range of incontinence underwear.

In fact, Schoeller CEO Hans-Jürgen Hübner first presented his vision for a major new health market at a conference in Taiwan back in 2002. Ten years and numerous R&D projects later, this vision is
    become a reality.

“With our developments, we are moving ever-closer to the cosmetic and medical areas,” he said. “For this reason, we have developed a new company that now concentrates solely on activities of this
    kind.”
