podProcter & Gamble has launched what is being called the biggest laundry innovation in more than a quarter of a century with Tide and Cascade Pods, according to US Nonwovens (USN).

It is thought this innovation will help combat the downward spiral of detergent sales in the past couple of years.

“Dual Pods are highly effective, user friendly and convenient,” says Rody Mehdizadeh, chief operating officer of US Nonwovens, based in Brentwood, New York.

Currently, USN is in high level discussions with global consumer product companies in efforts to licence and/or sell its newly granted patents, since P&G is the only other company apart from USN itself to market Dual Pod Technology to date.
