KINGSPORT – Eastman Chemical now has an agreement with Procter & Gamble to further accelerate the transformation of plastic packaging and collaborate on circular recycling solutions.

In January this year Eastman plans to build one of the world’s largest plastic-to-plastic molecular recycling facilities at its site in Kingsport, Tennessee, with completion expected in 2022. Through methanolysis, this world-scale facility will convert polyester waste into durable products, creating an optimized circular economy.
