Filtration Group has acquired two more companies, Purafil and Kaydon Custom Filtration, from the SKF Group of Sweden.
Filtration Group was founded in 2009 by a Chicago-based holding company Madison, in a bid to unite a highly fragmented landscape – especially in the US – for filter manufacturers and distributors.
It can rightfully claim to be the fastest-growing filtration company in recent years, bringing together many SME filtration companies under one name. These are primarily involved in developing, manufacturing and distributing filtration products for the HVAC, gas phase, turbine, cleanroom, paint and nonwoven and membrane filter media markets, with operations in over 20 countries.
In 2013, Filtration Group saw its sales grow by more than 50% to over $750 million and during that year, it invested over $850 million in new buildings, equipment and production lines.
Purafil develops and maintains gas phase air filtration systems and solutions and is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.
Kaydon Custom Filtration is a supplier of specialised diesel fuel and oil filtration systems and filter elements for industrial applications based in LaGrange, Georgia.
Purafil and Kaydon Custom Filtration had combined sales of approximately $40 million in 2014.
