Filtration leader Donaldson has acquired a majority stake in Ifil USA, a manufacturer of pleated bag filters, primarily based on spunbonded nonwovens, for industrial dust collection.

Founded in 2009 and based in Harrisonville, Missouri, Ifil’s products are sold to a wide range of industries, including primary metals, grain, food, mining, minerals and pharmaceuticals. The company’s operations and 40 employees, will continue to function as an independent company.

“Ifil is a great addition to our industrial air filtration business,” said Tod Carpenter, Donaldson’s president and CEO. “Its industry-leading technology gives customers significant advantages compared to traditional filter bags, including longer filter life, faster filter changes and reduced air emissions.”

The agreement is expected to contribute between $6-8 million to Donaldson’s 2016 sales.
