EBERBACH – Florence, Italy-based flooring specialist Alma has installed a new needlepunch line which it will use for the production of exhibition and domestic carpets, artificial grass, and automotive interiors and car mats.

Alma produces a range of nonwovens floor coverings in a wide variety of styles, colours and aesthetics, all supplied by its own in-house production of polypropylene fibre

The new 6m line, which covers fibre preparation, web forming, needling and end-of-line equipment, consists of a DiloTemafa fibre blending and filtration system, DiloSpinnbau card feeding, carding, high speed crosslapping, and an inline Di-Loop for high-speed structuring.

It also includes the latest process controls including an Industry 4.0 DI-Connect system.
