FRIEDBERG - Nonwovens technology manufacturer Autefa Solutions will have a range of its latest developments aimed at increasing productivity and energy efficiency for Spunlace lines at next month's IDEA exhibition in Miami.

On show will be the high speed Webforming sub-system, consisting of Injection card and Crosslapper CL4006 SL, which has been designed to support customers in this highly competitive market, the company says.

The main challenge in such high speed lines is to keep fibres and the process stage under control. The Autefa Solutions Injection card enables (Drylaid) web forming at very high production with the Injection Card using a unique combination of mechanical and aerodynamic technologies to ensure a gentle carding action. The Injection Card also delivers a quality web at the highest production with a better MD/CD ratio, says Autefa.

With the Topliner CL4006 SL Autefa Solutions also offers a crosslapper with special features for Spunlace applications. This system provides the highest possible layering speeds and precise weight distribution by means of the integrated drafting unit, compensation belt, antistatic equipment and new designed transport aprons. These features are very important especially for lightweight applications in spunlace lines and ensures the infeed speed up to 130 m/min.

With the V- Jet injector, water pressure can be reduced while maintaining the same fabric strength. The energy cost saving potential using V-Jet technology is in the range of 20 - 30%.

Moreover, the water consumption is reduced by 10% when using the same nozzle diameter and pitch while the Square Drum Dryer SQ-V combines the advantages of a horizontal dryer with the lower space requirement of a conventional drum dryer.

Here, the nozzle system uniformly distributes the airflow in terms of speed and temperature throughout the whole working width, providing the best possible spunlace web and surface quality results. The Square Drum Dryer SQ-V also has different heating zones and operates each heating zone with optimal drying conditions while it's small footprint makes it an ideal solution the for energy optimizing of existing lines. Autefa Solutions can be found at booth 1652.
