LUCCA - Italy's A.Celli Nonwovens held an Innovation Days event at its Lucca site last week where it welcomed visitors from the across the global hygiene and nonwovens fabric manufacturing sectors.

Following a series of morning presentations, visitors were treated to a tour highlighting A.Celli's latest developments including the new generation of Master Roll Winders STREAM and the RAPID range of Slitter Rewinders.

There were also presentations of R-WAY, the new generation Roll Handling and Packaging System and the reel management system AGV R-WAY vehicles.

Further demonstrations included a look at Extreme Automation, a new A. Celli division dedicated to developing software and hardware solutions for the optimization of production and maintenance processes, and, importantly, how this is appropriate in terms of Industry 4.0.

At the end of the tour the visitors were also presented with a production area where they were able to view the latest generation machines dedicated to winding and cutting light spunlaid products (weighing 8-70 gsm) with Reicofil 5 lines for use in the hygiene sector.
