WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Commerce has announced preliminary antidumping (AD) determinations which outline forthcoming restrictions for producers and exporters of fine denier polyester staple fibre from Asia. Following a petition by US polyester manufacturers earlier this year, which cautioned the acceptability of dumping in the US due to unfair price points, authorities within the States have now outlined antidumping margins in order to thwart its threat on the country’s domestic markets.
