Israel’s Shalag Nonwovens is to install a third thermobonding line at it plant in Oxford, North Carolina, as part of a £16 million investment that will create 40 jobs.

This is the company’s second expansion at the US site since opening it in 2009.

Shalag has been awarded a grant from the One North Carolina fund worth up to $100,000 if it meets its jobs and investment goals, bringing its total in state economic development incentives received to date to $285,000.

Shalag manufactures through-air bonded and calendered nonwovens for the wipes and absorbent hygiene markets.
