Jacob Holm, headquartered in Basel, Switzerland, is to purchase the Sontara spunlaced nonwovens business from DuPont Protection Technologies.

When it moved completely away from the manufacture of textile fibres with the sale of those assets to Invista a decade ago, it notably retained a number of high value fibre and nonwoven interests, including its Kevlar, Tyvek and Typar-branded products, in addition to the Sontara business.
