CARY - Release liner manufacturer Loparex has completed its acquisition of Infiana, a producer of engineered polyolefin films serving critical functions in a diverse range of growth industries including personal care and health care.

A joint statement from the companies said that the deal would build up Loparex's release liner capabilities, strengthen its market position, and enable stronger support to its customers’ growth plans.

Simon Medley, Loparex CEO, commented: “As we move into integration, we will seek to leverage the strengths of Infiana and Loparex while identifying synergies and growth opportunities helping us to become the universal release liner solutions provider of choice.”

Peter Wahsner, Infiana CEO, added: “This merger is something the industry has been expecting and waiting for a long time. The businesses complement each other very well in terms of portfolio and geography. Joining forces will create a true global company with a complete offering for our market and customer needs.”

Infiana serves an international customer base from two manufacturing locations in Forchheim, Germany, and Malvern, USA.
