JIANGYIN – The Nikke Group, a Japanese producer of nonwovens fabrics, is set to invest US$2.83 million in a new production facility in Jiangyin, China, in an effort to mass produce its filter fabrics that will be used for dust chambers in waste incineration, claims Asian news outlet, Nikkei News.

In China, the growing issue of household waste, coupled with stringent regulations regarding pollution, has left the country in need of an innovative solution. Nikke will look to take advantage of this by producing its nonwoven filtration fabrics at scale that can then be used during the process of incineration to minimise the associated pollutants, often referred to as particulate matter.
