Collaboration inspires automated swab production

GUILHUFE – Ultrasonic welding specialist, Herrmann Ultrasonics, has collaborated with non-active medical device manufacturer, Bastos Viegas, for the launch of a new, patented abdominal swab, brought together by ultrasonic vibrations. This process, which eradicates the need for adhesives, needles or heat, could mark the introduction of the sectors first ‘automated roll-to-finished product’ assembly.
