During 2013, Camtex Fabrics, based in Workington, Cumbria, UK, opened a new plant near Shangai, China, to meet rising demand for its Cambrelle nonwoven shoe linings.
The new plant doubles annual capacity for Cambrelle products in China, where the company first relocated part of its manufacturing five years ago, principally to be closer to the footwear companies it supplies and help shorten time-to-market.
