The automotive industry – to which nonwovens for weight reduction are becoming increasingly important – did not perform as well as anticipated in the third quarter of 2011, and things are not expected to improve for the rest of this year, reports Fibertex Nonwovens.
As a consequence, the company – which has operated separately from its sister Fibertex Personal Care since January – has lowered its anticipated earnings for the full year. At the same time, it has implemented significant price increases during 2011 in order to offset the effects of raw materials price increases.
