The world fibre market surpassed 100 million tonnes for the first time in 2016, with nonwovens production up 6.9 per cent. Speaking at Techtextil Frankfurt, Andreas Engelhardt, general manager of The Fiber Year Consulting, noted growth has slowed for the fourth consecutive year in the world fibre market, to just 1.4 per cent in 2016.
