The new Reicofil 5 spunmelt system is poised to have a significant impact on the nonwovens industry, writes managing editor Adrian Wilson. It’s now 15 years since Reifenhäuser Reicofil introduced its Reicofil 4 system and it has subsequently more or less become the industry standard for the high volume production of spunmelt fabrics (spunbond, meltblown and composites), certainly for the disposable hygiene market.
