Environmental news and technical innovation in the nonwovens sector

Amsterdam - The Go Wipes Europe conference, the event for key professionals from across the global nonwovens industry, will now take place in an online only format from 13-14 December.

Originally scheduled for 6-7 December in Amsterdam, the shift online follows the recent surge in cases of Covid-19.

"We were on track to run a successful in-person event, but increasing COVID related concern has led to large numbers of delegates and speakers cancelling their in-person participation," organisers said. "This has been especially pronounced in the last few days. All delegates who planned to attend in-person will be automatically sent online log in details to the event on the 13-14 December and your in-person ticket will be transferred to 2022, as per our terms and conditions."

The overall nonwoven market is on the rise - Nonwovens in general and nonwoven wipes specifically have been less negatively impacted than many other industries as a result of Covid-19. Overall, the global nonwovens wipe market is forecast to experience slightly higher than historical growth rates, with consumption of 2.0 million tonnes and a value of $26.1 billion by 2025.

The organisers, Smithers have put together a comprehensive programme for each summit this year, covering the full scope of the nonwoven industry and providing valuable information on these developments and initiatives, as well as delivering an insightful forecast into the future. Previous years has seen attendees from across the supply chain unite to hear from leading experts about topics such as European standards, regulations, consumer insights, circular economy, sustainability, packaging and more.

Described as "an excellent opportunity to network and gain a deeper understanding of the European wet wipe market" by Schulke UK and "the European event for the wipes-industry" by Sandler AG. GO Wipes Europe offers delegates the opportunity to gain the knowledge to boost their business, increase profit, meet new industry contacts, build business relationships and develop an increased understanding of customers’ needs.
