LENZING/VIRTUAL - Lenzing is to a hold its second series of Veocel Webinars with the cellulosic fibre specialist focusing on how its products combine performance with sustainability.

As Lenzing notes, the outbreak of COVID-19 has posed completely new challenges for global markets, and has raised consumers’ concern regarding health and safety issues, as well as making them more alert to assess their lifestyles and purchasing decisions.

Globally, many consumers have become more resource conscious and are now looking for products which help them to continue to thrive for a more sustainable future.

Over the last few months, Lenzing has taken a deeper look into how it can contribute to meeting this global trend towards more sustainable products. As a first step within a new series of Veocel Webinars, the company will be addressing technical solutions to the challenge.

This webinar will make you familiar with Lenzing’s recent breakthrough in the nonwoven segment. VEOCEL Lyocell fibers with Eco Cycle technology open up a pathway towards circular economy by adding recycled content to sustainable Lyocell fibers while retaining virgin quality fiber properties. The main focus is on the influence of production speed on WLS fabric strength as well as a first study on different pulp grades as blending partners with Lenzing Lyocell Shortcut fibers for high strength WLS substrates.
