Australian Ecoriginals and Cardia Bioplastics have partnered to produce a high quality and affordable new diaper brand made largely from plant-based and compostable materials aimed at the $500 million Australian market.

Ecoriginals Baby products feature Cardia Compostable films for the back sheet and packaging and nappy bags and bin liners made from the same material are also being supplied.

“Ecoriginals builds its business on environmentally friendly products and we are proud to partner with them,” said Cardia managing director Frank Glatz. “Our proprietary Biohybrid and Compostable hygiene films and packaging are important offerings in meeting the demanding product and packaging performance requirements of the global hygiene market.”

“We are confident that with the expertise of Cardia and the inclusion of their compostable films into our new ‘Ecoriginals Baby’ nappy product, we are bringing the latest technology to market for Australian parents,” added Ecoriginals co-founder Lisa Laing.
