Energizer Holdings is to acquire the Stayfree, Carefree and o.b. feminine hygiene brands in the US, Canada and the Caribbean from Johnson & Johnson
The purchase price of $185 million includes all brand assets and the Johnson & Johnson manufacturing plant in Montreal, Canada.
Energizer will combine the brands with its Playtex feminine care business. The consumer goods company, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, offers a diversified range of products in the wet shave, skin care, feminine care and infant care categories through its Personal Care division, which also includes Wet Ones nonwoven-based moist wipes.
