cncCan Asia’s hygiene market really absorb any more spunmelt nonwovens, given the huge number of capacity expansion plans that have been announced in just the past few years?

It would appear so.

CNC International of Thailand will now add a 24,000-ton annual capacity Reicofil 4 line at its existing site in Rayong, to become operational in late 2014.

This will enable the company to make a variety of valued-added spunbond/ SMS nonwovens, in addition to being equipped with robotic, hands-free packaging of the nonwovens roll goods.

CNC is owned by the Charoen Pokphand Group (CP), the largest agriculture-based conglomerate in Thailand and already has two existing spunbond lines with a combined annual capacity of 15,000 tons.
